This is interesting because it brings the whole freedom of speech and gun control issues to the spotlight again. I think it's pretty clear where Mark stands on these issues and now he's become a target.

The sad thing is that he might have been able to live a peaceful life without too much worry about being a target. Moreover, he would be a big target. Maybe it's something like this that'll really get the world into this fight.
At the same time, it maybe shows that ISIS is grabbing at straws as it's being attacked.

But ... they're using Facebook. That in itself shows that they don't have any real power, else they'd have been using other things. Have a read of this:

“You announce daily that you suspend many of our accounts, and to you we say: Is that all you can do? You are not in our league,” text on the video clip reads. “If you close one account we will take 10 in return and soon your names will be erased after we delete your sites, Allah willing, and will know that we say is true.”

Boy, talk about a butthurt bunch. If they weren't such cowardly meanies who terribly abuse human rights and dignity, it would almost be comical.

I wrote on the very first of the iPhone security threads that Tim Cook does not want to see Apple stores getting bombed. This thread supports that contention.

That's an interesting take. They have so many and that would be a choice target. Shows the need to not let these people into the US unchecked

I doubt that Facelberg and Tweetle Dee are worried about that fake-looking post.

I can't imagine anything more frightening and a massive turnoff than seeing Mark Zuckerberg's head on a pike. Turn that mug in the direction of Attila the Hun and you'll see ole' Atilla leave the field of battle — pronto.

I saw on the news that Mark has a body guard when he goes for a run. It might have been the case before this threat, but it's sad that an American can't feel free in their own country.

It's also sad the Mark bans gun sales on FB and yet has an armed gunman as protection for himself.

Quite likely because he realizes that training makes a difference, so he hires trained people instead of carrying a weapon himself.

At some point, you wonder if he's in the worlds greatest prison cell.

What's the difference between Mark and a prisoner? One is guarded from people getting to him, the other is guarded from him getting to the people.

Or he could just get training.

This might surprise some, but Mark actually as more money than most of us. He can not only afford professional protection, he can afford to have others make is food, drive his car, clean his house, etc...

Some of us have to do things ourselves. In fact, most of the people that actually CAUSED Mark to get rich, can't afford professional protection.

Maybe if everyone on FB started a new social media, we could take the money and then we could afford professional protection.

Unless our lives aren't as important as his...

Well, as he supports "privacy" to the extent of legal court orders that are not based on passing fancy whims of the sort he wants his followers and rubes to blindly believe - what if the terrorist's phone the FBI wants unlocked contained information on other targets? Like Apple stores? Maybe he should hope that's the case so he can cash in big time on insurance??

Let's see Tim Cook show his double standards on this issue too. Let me get some popcorn first.

Wait, you talkin' about the companies and CEOs that offshore jobs to places with massive human rights violations? Ooh, this is getting interesting!
