There is nothing wrong with the Superdrive itself but i cannot seem to use my media with my ex gf's pc or with 2 other DVD players. What gives?

I was told that DVD players cannot play more than 3 (movie) files on the disk so they will not read them. I don't know if this is true so could somebody clarify for me please?

Also i have had CD's play fine on DVD players but they had a limit of 3 files on them, i've never used more than 3 for a standalone player though.

How successful have you been with external players when it comes to burning with a superdrive? Can you play them on windows and the like with no troubles?

Oh yeah iDVD doesn't support mpeg or avi, why? All my DV cameras produce mpeg or avi so this program is useless to me, are there 3rd party programs which allow me to use these files?
I have a wedding i have to go to tomorrow and wouldn't mind spending sunday working with iDVD but if it cannot use said files then its no use shooting film for my parents who are getting wed.
