I have a 2011 MBP in which I use with a 27" HD monitor which is connected by an adapter through the thunderbolt port. When I try to connect the monitor to my MBP by daisy chaining it to the HD, I get all kinds of weird flickering and freezing.
Is it possible to use an External TB HD with an external monitor?
If so, what do I need to do to get this to work?

    Hi,

Please contact our support. There are certain circumstances in which this kind of symptom can occur and we need to be able to identify the cause so we can give you the correction.

    We're at 503-844-4500 (USA) or www.lacie.com/mystuff

Chances are we can resolve this quickly but I want a technician to review your setup to ensure we give the right solution.

Typically this is caused by the cable firmware being mismatched and turning the cable around or re-ordering the devices can help. Its also possible that the hub itself has a manufacturing defect... we would need to troubleshoot to be sure.

    ~mn, LaCie
