It really annoys me when people call something a name that is incorrect. Seriously, it's a little thing but it makes them look like idiots and irritates me.

1. iTouch - Annoying, annoying, annoying.

2. iPod Video - No such thing.
+ I was discussing this with people, they actually think that iPod Video is the actual name, they insisted that it's on the box and everything. Even after I showed them the box, and apple.com, and more. ugh.

There are more, but I have to go do something that is of no interest to people who read this.

tata.

pls don't flame me with useless nonsense like, "people can call it whatever they like!"

I'm not saying they can't call it that if they want to, I'm irritated by people who think it's the real, official, actual, Apple given name for the product.

tata, again.

It annoys me too really (the iTouch thing anyway), but I just let it go... as long as everyone knows what they're talking about I suppose.

People that complain about what other people call a device really annoy me. Seriously, if this is the only thing you've got to worry about in life then you should just sit back and appreciate things more.

I called my first gen nano the "NanoPod," my partner's second gen nano got dubbed the "PodPod" (I thought that the alminum finish felt fake!), so according to that tradition, I suppose the Touch should be "TouchPod." :p

It's my ipod, I'll call it what I like!

My iPhone thinks its name is DAMMIT because that's what I yell at it when I get the annoying predicted text wrong and send something really stupid because I am typing too fast.

iDammit.

My iTouch is really bothered by people who have no tolerance for it's name. My InTouch doesn't care, it just keeps me in touch. Touchy is you. Touché (french, can't help it) considers you a bigot. My Touch is SO far from being an iPod that the iPod part is pointless. JMHO ;)

I think the Bard of Avon had something to say about a rose by any other name...

Dude I hate when they say iTOUCH!!!!!!!!!

Even WORSE my local best buy printed out a cheap display pic of the iPod touch and it said in big bold letters "iTouch" and I asked the lady isnt it called the iPod Touch , and she said no its the iTouch. That was the first time I wanted to slap a woman

I just find it odd how so many people call it the iTouch. Apple has never once marketed it as an iTouch, they have always called it an iPod Touch. I just don't understand why so many people call it that when it has never been called that.

"iTouch" is, indeed irritating. I also hate how many people get the formatting wrong, I often see IPOD or I-pod or Ipod. It's freakin' iPod already.

I also dislike when people pronounce "diabetes" as "diabeetus." But that's a different thread.

It's like the Wiimote vs. Wii Remote thing in the Nintendo world. Nintendo never refers to the remote as the Wiimote but many people still call it that. The thing is, some people are just too lazy to speak or write a full word, a full product name or a full phrase. Thay will abbreviate as much as possible. Almost ridiculously so. They're the same lot who will say "IDK" instead of "I don't know" and similar things...

FWIW, Uve got a . ;)

I prefer iPod Touch.

However, many around here seem to call it the iTouch. Probably because it works well when you say something like which are you going to get? The iPhone or the iTouch?

I have to say, how ever much it bugs me when someone says, "iTouch" in person (not on the forum) it really bugs me. But when someone says it on here, I'm way more okay with it. Simply because when typing it is way more convenient. I always type the correct name, but I can deal with other's decisions.

However, I agree with a previous poster: it is iPod. Not IPOD, i-Pod, Ipod, or any other variation. Oh, and I want to hit people who call any old MP3 player an iPod.

I'd don't mind iTouch. As long as I understand what people are referring to it's fine. Touch/iTouch/iPod/iPod Touch. Likewise with iPod 5G or iPod Video. No big deal at all.
