Obama distinctly states he won't keep campaign promises.

From ABC's interview with George Stephanopolous:
Remember when I said Obama's candidacy is based in hype and false expectations? This is what I was talking about.

This thread is crap. The quote reads:

"Our challenge is going to be identifying what works and putting more money into that, eliminating things that don’t work, and making things that we have more efficient. But I’m not suggesting, George, I want to be realistic here, not everything that we talked about during the campaign are we going to be able to do on the pace we had hoped."

Its official: Some people live for taking things out of context in order to fulfill some odd vendetta against public figures.

Not to mention we already knew no official running for president can ever completely fulfill their promises, its not like they have absolute power.

I thought, liar and full of crap, were part of the politician's job definition.

And if they can survive the nuclear war, they'll kill all the cockroaches, or end up ruling them. ;)

Actually, it does serve a good purpose.

It is a very good example of taking things out of context as BV showed. :)

Ehhh....he's done this before. Post crap taken way out of context, and then when he's called out on it, he never returns and stays out of PRSI for a few weeks until the thread is off the first page so no one remembers it.

Who's we? Because I certainly have no reason to believe he's a liar and full of crap based on his actions so far. stevento took a quote way out of context, like he always does, and you're falling for it.

I don't know, stevento still claims to be a Democrat though. Maybe he can replace Alan Colmes since he just left Faux. Someone who claims to be a Democrat, yet never really seems to show it.

Did you see Colmes on the Colbert report? From what I remember it was pretty funny, but I was drifting to sleep as it was on so I don't remember too much of it.

    No :D

Nope, didn't see it. Colmes has his good days and bad days. Sometimes I get the feeling that every now and then, Faux holds his paycheck hostage until he says something to appease their conservative audience.

enough of this liberal crap. I want another 8 years of George, a legend in his own mind. We need that calm, steady hand and honest intellectual approach to leadership. George is the man... Ah forget it, I can't say that with a straight face.:D

Obama constantly laid out timelines for his promises for instance here's one.
Universal Health Care by the end of the first term link
obama knew the economy was the way it was during the campaign. but he made the promises with the timeline anyways.
now he's saying "oh sorry the economy is bad, this is going to take longer than we thought"
the economy was in the tubes then as well.

'We can have universal health care by the end of the next president's first term, by the end of my first term,'' Obama

Funny, that doesn't sound like "I PROMISE that I will somehow get past the amazing number of blocks to getting UHC by the end of my first term" to me.
