iTunes 4K support

Did they by chance add the ability to play iTunes movies in 4K on MacBook Pro?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you can watch iTunes movies in 4K on any mac--even the 5K iMac. It's an artificial restriction from the movie studios because they are afraid of piracy. To my knowledge, the only device that can watch 4K iTunes movies is the AppleTV 4K.
