iTunes Match and manually adding songs to iPhone?

Hi there. I just enabled iTunes Match and noticed that the playlists/songs that I had manually added to my iPhone and iPad have all been removed once I enabled iTunes Match on those devices. Is there a way to have the ability to both download songs from the cloud AND have songs that I manually want added to these devices?

I like the ability of pulling from the cloud (when I want) but also want a certain set of songs on my devices at all times (for when I'm offline).

Thanks,
Keith

Open music app, goto the playlist you want, click download all at the bottom of the list.

Any song you play from iTunes match cloud is cached and permanently stored locally in your device. Or you can click the cloud icon next to any song, or click the download all button at the bottom of any playlist or album.

You can do this from anywhere, though id stick to anywhere you have wifi.

Manually syncing is pointless with iTunes Match. Once you download the songs from the cloud to your iPhone, they're on our iPhone regardless if you're on or offline.

Thank you for the responses, everyone.

I guess I find this a bit annoying, since there are so many tracks that I want to manually add to my iPhone on a weekly basis (I'm a DJ and I'm constantly adding new tracks to listen to every week as I get new promos, etc.). I have a smart playlist for this that is quite large. I don't want to have to "download" them to my phone... I'd prefer to be able to plug in to iTunes via the cable and transfer the MP3s over very quickly... Is that possible?

Disable iTunes Match. It isn't for you.

Bump.

This is a ridiculous oversight / limitation on Apple's part.

You need iTunes Match turned ON in order to have Ad-Free Radio.

Plus, there is a VERY GOOD reason to manually sync songs: you can chose to sync at 128kbit, and therefore, get more songs on your iPhone. For some items, 256kbit doesn't make any freakiing sense (e.g. audio books).
If you download them through iTunes sync, they are automatically 256kbit.

FIX IT, APPLE.
