iTunes Store: Loss of Net connection

So i bought my first album off of the store today, and i couldn't help but wonder, what if you lost your net connection while you are downloading your purchase? I would assume it would restart once you reloaded iTunes and the like, but has anyone had this happen yet?" And if it did, did it automatically restart?

it resumes the download when you reopen itunes.
