I have just now realised that something with my iTunes library must be broken. I keep another Mac in the storage room of my place and have attached a couple of drives for backups and media. I also stream videos via iTunes from this Mac and I noticed that for a small video file (~500MB) iTunes keeps streaming dozens of GB worth of data from the other computer. When I open the files directly in e.g. VLC I see a normal data rate, so it must be a problem with iTunes. Is this a known issue in the latest build?

    thanks

Alright, never mind. The bug is gone with the iTunes 12.4.2 update Apple released just now!
