I was syncing my phone and it was using high 300's at one point. This can't be normal, can it?

Is it compressing your music into 128kbps AAC files?

It shouldn't be. I was just transferring my iTunes music library to my phone.

There is an option when you sync on the first page, is it checked? Does it indicate what it is doing? I can't say I've noticed my iTunes maxing out 3 cores during syncing.
