Quick question. My ex wife ruined my credit so I’ll be purchasing the XR on the iPhone upgrade program in someone else’s name. Will that person need to be present for in-store pickup? I know for standard Apple Store online orders, you can specify a different pick-up person. I’m just not sure if the same is true for IUP since it’s a loan and not an up front purchase. In-store pickup will save me $85 vs. shipping (it would ship to a high tax state, whereas I can pick up in a tax-free state 30 minutes away).

I would think the person in who's name the phone is being purchased would need to authorize you the pick up "their" phone.

It will vary I'm sure but I have yet to have an issue with it. I have picked up many friends and co-workers phones for them.
