This chip is quite likely to be the replacement for the current 2.4GHz quad-core
Intel Core i7 in the 15" MBP and 17" (i.e. the higher-end stock model)

    4 x 2.6 GHz
    Max Turbo 3.6GHz
    6MB L3
    45W

    Looking positive.

The 3820QM (as seen in the geekbench result rumour) will probably be the configure to order option.

I have an Arrandale i7. After reading that, I want this update badly.

    Badly? Why?
Power consumption seems to be even a little worse than Sandy Bridge. You might actually get worse battery life. HD 4000 is better but on a 15" you don't need that as HD 3000 is good enough for all things 2D and for anything else a 650M Kepler is much more interesting than this slightly faster CPU.
