When I name my page for SEO reasons something long with a bunch of keywords in it (in the navigator in the left hand side of iWeb '08), and then publish it to the web, I get a super long URL that looks like:

    http://mydomain.com/best-title-I-could-think-of-with-lots-of-keywords

The main site http://mydomain.com actually redirects and the long URL above shows up in my browser.

Anyone know how to turn off this seemingly insane feature of iWeb '08?

    Thanks!

    iWeb SEO

iWeb wasn't really made for business use or for SEO, so it's a matter of working around a few things. For the URL issue, I would recommend you pick something short for the site name, and then use a program like iWeb SEO Tool to add some meta data as well as the page titles you're looking for. You say your site redirects, are you hosting with MobileMe and using domain masking, or just a redirect? How you're hosting the site can also affect your SEO. There are a great many things to think about with this, far too many to cover here. Let me know if I can be of service.
