Captain Blunt should have whipped his guitar out and treated the Russians to a couple of his ballads – that would have shifted them sharpish, although he'd probably have been dragged up before a war crimes trial.

If he really did stop "world war 3" good for us.

Its starting to sound like a PR campaign now...

I heard the interview live on Radio FiveLive tonight while futzing around in the kitchen and thought it was old news about the airfield in Pristina.

According to Mike Jackson and James Blunt, the British army have greater leeway to question orders at lower levels than, say, the US Army because they're a smaller army... not entirely sure what the connection or rationale is, as I missed that bit, but...

    I report, you decide.

Only a couple of days till they decided to share the airfield?

Guess the Russians aren't as good at being surrounded and starved as they used to be...

    I think he's referring to this ;).

Isn't this the same war that the Americans "accidentally" bombed the Chinese Embassy?

Yes, but I was inferring, rather badly, that they learned nothing from the Americans, keeping West Berlin alive, during a similar siege. :)

They already had an air field, they just needed the logistics in place to replenish their supplies from the air.

Maybe, maybe not. It's just a shame he didn't consider that doctrine before signing his first album deal.
