This is a first for me, but I had my iPhone 7 sitting on my iPad. I picked up my iPad and off slid my iPhone 7, on to the hardwood floor. And it keept sliding a good 8 feet, on its face across the hardwood floor. I picked it up, relieved the glass wasn't shattered. But then I noticed a good bit of scratches, and an especially long one right down the center of the screen. I've polished it as much as I can, it's permenant. I assume it's the coating on the screen which I've heard can scratch. There must have been some tiny piece of sand on the hardwood floor that got it as it slid across. It looks bad. I actually just purchased a case today, it'll be here tomorrow! Doh! Do you think I would have any luck taking it the Apple Store and seeing if they'd be kind enough to swap it out? It's totally my fault, but I've heard around release time they can be extra generous. What do you guys think? Also, this is a Jet black and how I scratched the screen before I scratched the back, I don't know.
