    Buried in all of today's news was this fascinating story where Republicans have decided to do something they almost never do: Raise taxes.

    See, that's exactly the same thing I fear about Trump and his tax plans: That he will cause a massive hole that causes real economic harm to us even after he is no longer in office. This massive economic growth to cover tax cut revenue shortfalls never seems to pan out.

    We have the opposite problem in Connecticut, taxes are so high that people are leaving and it's creating a huge deficit.

    Yeah there has to be a balance. That is something that I think both parties don't get.

    There needs to be a balance between taxes and wasteful spending. We need revenue but that money can't be blown on stupid things. Raise taxes too high and people will leave. Cut them too low and people stay but suffer.
