I got an iPod Touch as a part of the Buy a Mac school deal. It was delivered today and I took it out of the case and accidentally turned on. Should I keep it charged through a wall charger until my Macbook which the earliest it could come is maybe Tuesday? I don't want to mess up the battery or anything.

New iPod Touches come with a half full battery (around 50%, 75% if lucky) And should be fine for a week.

The iPod isn't really doing anything except telling you to plug into iTunes, that takes up little energy and is considered standby.

+1, they come straight out of the box in "stand by mode".
