not sure how you will doe protesting gay marriage maybe jumping in front of stampeding gays going to get married? Of course the poor abused christian freedom is at stake. freedom only refers to my freedom to force my faith on others. Hey when god comes down on earth and says gay marriage is bad then he can complain.

That's a new one, the Supreme Court's ruling is unconstitutional. How ****ing stupid is this guy? Throw his ass in jail for a few nights. He'll have his come to Jesus moment.

People who claim this don't realize that SCOTUS isn't saying "YOU MUST GAY MARRY PEOPLE CUZ YAY GOVERNMENT OVERREACH". It's more "We the government have no jurisdiction in the matter of who marries who, so we're going to allow it simply because we're not allowed the authority to say no".

It's the government ceding moreso than demanding. Something the small government people should be all over.

Technically they then should hire a "satanist" police officer who strictly refuses to release him after those few nights, since that would be "supporting 'Christianity'" and therefore against the "Satanist's" "religion". Sounds crazy? No more or less crazy than "I cannot give you a marriage license because... 'god'".

"The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods, or no God. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg."
    - Thomas Jefferson

What injury does two men or two women marrying cause? None of course.

    Nope.

He is unfit/unwilling to perform his job and therefore should be fired.

I can't help but notice that this woman who was rejoicing with her partner after yesterday's 6th circuit decision is sporting a SS Apple Watch. :)

Nope! Soylent Green is used primarily in pork products. Hamburgers are safely soy.

Remember that next time you eat bacon. O_0

I'm going to make an urban dictionary entry for "Come to Jesus". It will involve leading a zombie walk through the streets of Rome.

It's a learning process. Hopefully every "religious" person now knows what the job of a county clerk includes when they apply for such a position. Over time it all will clean itself up.

    Skipped beef on Friday?

Is there anyone here who does not recognize what a destructive force religion can be as practiced by many humans? Admittedly vastly different tactics in how to push your religion, we have Middle East terrorists in the East and the GOP in the West. Check out the WSJ report on how economists feel about GOP tactics to enact their religious agenda.

    Mmmmm......delicious people.

Just saw the update that the Davis is defying SCOTUS.

On one hand, more power to her for holding to her convictions in the face of opposition - would that we could all be so strong.

On the other hand, clamoring for public support is not standing firm - it's pandering. She's run out of appeals and it's time to face the music. She doesn't have to worry about being killed, raped, or mutilated for her beliefs - just a stint in a cell and some cash. Either turn yourself in for contempt or wash your hand of the proverbial sins of this world, but do not expect God to help you out when you choose claim martyrdom by failing to render that which is Caesar's unto Caesar.
