"Masked gunmen stormed into a fancy, crowded mall in Nairobi on Saturday and shot dead at least 39 people and wounded more than 150 in one of the most chilling terrorist attacks in East Africa since Al Qaeda blew up two American embassies in 1998." http://www.nytimes.com/2013/09/22/world/africa/nairobi-mall-shooting.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0
AP is reporting death toll is at 59, including children. I read somewhere yesterday the terrorist were having people recite prayers to determine is they were muslim or not, I'll see if I can dig up the link.
Yes. They were religious fanatics, trying to separate out those who shared their faith. Is there anything to be gleaned from that?
Do you think we still need religion for those wonderful things to happen? Are we evolved enough as a species to want to help each without doing so just because the church says we should?
Yes, Because all Muslims and only Muslims are terrorists Christians have never waged war and committed mass murder. EVER.
... an entire population of 1.6 billion people. [finished that sentence for you] Of course we're all judging the acts of those perpetrated the massacre.
This isn't a story about Christians but it didn't take long (next post) before the apologists/anti-Christian clan would swarm. Business as usual here.
That last sentence implies that people actually base their behavior on what the Church tells them. Sure some people it's say their faith that make them a good person, but it's bull crap. The majority of those currently spending time in the US prison system are Christians. Not because Christians are inherently bad, no more than they are inherently good, but simply because they make up the majority of this country. As I like to say, religion is simply an excuse people use to justify what they already believe.
One person. That's quite the "swarm" you got there. I think you're disappointed you didn't work up a bigger one.
Muhammad allowed 600+ people to be beheaded at one time, not sure why this wouldn't be considered following in his footsteps.
