For some reason, every time I type a word with an apostrophe the keyboard automatically moves the cursor one character back.

For example, when I type you’re and press space, the cursor automatically moves from after the e to before the e.

Can someone help in fixing this? It is extremely annoying.

Edit: this seems to be an issue in Safari only. I’ve tried Pages and other softwares and no where else am I able to replicate it.

Back up and reinstall the operating system
