Keyboard on iPhone 5

Loving all the aspects of the new iPhone. Wondering if there is any way to take advantage of all the space when typing in landscape. Why didn't Apple strech out the keypad to the edge of the screen and thereby increase the size of each individual keypad?

People like me with big fingers need all the space we can get!

I'm sure a jailbreak will come out that will allow you to stretch it. Maybe in a 6.x update they'll ad a way to stretch it or just spread apart the keys more. I don't have a problem with landscape, but I have averagely small hands.
