Keynote bug: saving as PDF Outlines clips off text

I use Keynote a lot for teaching, and I often use the Print > Outline > Save as PDF function for easy handouts for my students.

On both 10.12 and 10.13, Keynote's behavior is problematic in that it clips off the text as seen in the screenshot. I do not have this problem on Keynote on 10.11.x

Any fixes or suggestions or other people who have encountered this issue?
