KOTOR, 1.0.3d patch, & PPC

Does anyone know if the 1.0.3d patch for KOTOR helps the Dantooine stutter, random crashes, etc., on PPC systems?

I've been burned by Aspyr beta/universal patches before, and don't want to bother if it just makes things worse.
