They should pull it simply because it looks like a stupid show.

At least companies are realizing the ridiculousness of these shows today. Hopefully people follow suit and it ends early with not even a full season.

Kraft is certainly free to not advertise on any television (or radio) show they wish. Is there a controversy here?

I don't even watch that much TV anymore, so I couldn't care less.

That's my thought. No one forces advertisers to place ads on a particular show. That doesn't mean that show shouldn't run at all.

The show sounds like it has the potential to be funny. So what if it portrays Christians in a negative light? They can take the punches like any other group.

Seriously, Americans need to grow up and embrace irony and dark humor, even for corporate measures.

Kraft decides not to advertise on some cable show and it's news? It would only be news, IMO, if one of those hate groups with "family" in their name forced it.

Yeah and let's see y'alls reaction if a show called FHF: Flaming Homosexual Fiction starts airing on TV portraying gays in negative connotation and a sponsor pulls out.

You'd be praising them to high heavens for such an act of courage and political correctness.

Oh no -- every show that depicts Christians has to be like Seventh Heaven.

Anyone remember The Book of Daniel? That show depicted a family, the head of which was an Episcopal priest, dealing with an assortment of real-life weaknesses and sins. That was too much for some people to handle.

Then they piled cardinal sin on top of cardinal sin -- the head of the family was shown talking out his problems with Jesus, who was depicted as a live person. I thought it was a creative metaphor for prayer and reflection -- but some viewers considered it sacrilegious and got really pissed off.

Needless to say, show got cancelled quickly.

Not only don't some Christians have a sense of humor, they don't even have a sense of serious.

That said, this looks like another dumb show.

    Y'all ever hear of NewsRadio?

Huh? Is there a bunch of posts here ragging on Kraft for doing this? I see a couple of "they are free to do that..." posts. Talk about looking for a fight when there is none.

Agreed. Kraft can support or not support whatever show it wants.

And people can support or not support Kraft based on its choices as well.

Kraft macaroni and cheese is insanely addictive. I could eat a barrel of it. Thankfully it's a rare import food here so I haven't died yet from all the nasty stuff they stick in it.

Do they make anything healthy anyway?

Excuse me, I'm a lifelong American.

What is this "healthy" thing you speak of?

Have you seen the show? Read the book it was based on?

The arguments that the show is portraying Christians in a negative light seems entirely based on the title. Especially considering it's star is Kristen Chenoweth, an outspoken Christian.

At worst, the show sounds like a cross between Dallas and Desperate Housewives after a make-out session in a Baptist Church meeting room. At best, it might be a sharply written dramatic comedy about the morals and the complexities of modern Christians.

Neither that link, nor most of the subsequent links, explained what the hell a GCB is, much less why I would want to watch one do whatever it is a GCB does.

The official name is "Good Christian Bitches", but they had to go with GCB to not offend.

    Good Christian Belles

"GCB" now stands for Good Christian Belles. I didn't see the opening show, but, it sounds quite innocuous-- making fun of hypocrites.
