Maybe, just maybe, Trump should have hired someone with experience.

Manafort, Bannon, Kushney, Flynn, the Mooch, etc. are the best people. They must be. Trump knows business. He only hires winners. How else was he able to afford all that gold bull **** in his houses?

Considering number of the political advisors, I'd say that's not likely to be true.

On the other hand, trump is clearly the worst president in modern history.

    And it isn't even close.

If I could avoid paying in full for completed work like Trump I’d be stinking rich like Trump.

And don’t get me started on how rich I would be if I qualified for massive tax breaks. I’d need a BK first lol.

Having ~10 million gifted to you at the start of your career might help too, no?

That's a "very small loan". Working class conservative voters picked the guy who called ten million dollars a "very small loan". Anyone who's ever ran out of gas, pushed their car to the nearest gas station and rummaged around their car for loose change and suffered the humiliation of asking for "16 cents on pump number four" knows that only an asshat would stand in front of America and call that amount of money a "very small loan".

I wonder if he paid it back?

I'm sure he told his father that he never loaned him any money.

Wouldn't be surprised if he charged his parents rent.

There are two issues here, neither of which have been acknowledged by some of Mr Trump's many defenders on these threads and elsewhere.

The first is nepotism: Jared Kushner should never have been appointed to this position in the first place.

And the second is the small matter of qualifications and experience: The man is manifestly unfit and unqualified to hold this position.

I'm actually going to disagree here.

Don't get me wrong, the whole entire lot in the White House is the absolute worst of any administration we've had (and that includes William Harrison, who was significantly better despite dying 30 days in office).

Where I disagree with is Trump hiring Kushner. Since he's family, this smacks of nepotism, which is even worse than hiring the worst best people, especially when a dead moose has more experience than Kushner.

Trump never once "the buck stops with me".

It will always be someone else's fault.

I'm still a believer. Kushy is going to make peace in the Middle East, lead trade talks with China, improve ties with Mexico, reform the criminal justice system and innovate government operations.

What the **** has he accomplished in 10 months?

OMG. You just reminded me of the all the things Kushner was put in charge of at the beginning of the trump administration.

Back then, it seemed like a completely ridiculous set of responsibilities.

    And it was.

I thought he was going to hire overlooked people qualified for the job who weren’t a bunch of rich elitists. An oil exec as Secretary of State, a billionaire dodo for education secretary, Rick Perry heading the agency he was going to dismantle before he “oops”, forgot what it was, Ben Carson as HUD Secretary (anything with the word Urban in it means black, dontcha know?), Jeff Sessions as AG, a spot he was denied years back because he was seen as racist...

Newsflash, Donny, just because you blame something on others or get others to do the work for you, doesn't mean you're clear of anything that comes your way.

By hiring Manafort he did pull directly from the Swamp.

I think Mussolini was buried. Therefore, Trump can’t be the worse human being on the face of the planet. Barely. :D

There's a photo of Manafort wearing a bright green tie that reminds me of the really old Batman series from the 60s where the bloke playing Riddler had a suit with question marks all over in the same obnoxious shade of green. Riddler would run circles around Manafort. Or rather "Man-a-****ed" soon.
