The news article says she traded the bag for a spot in line. My wife was there (and you can see her in part of the video) and what actually happened was she was like 3rd or 4th in line and she wanted a gold iphone. The person in front of her did too. The problem was our Apple store only had one. The 2nd lady traded her $2000 handbag to get the phone.

Warning! This lady acts like a loon! ;)

"It's the best feeling ever!" said Hoffman aloud. "Thank you Steve Jobs... You're looking down at us!"

Thank you Steve Jobs, You're laughing at us.

While I am an Apple Fanboy and have been so for 25 years I think this is over the top and unhealthy! ;) But I guess she has money to burn.

Thank U OP for posting this. This made my day. This woman is not only crazy but pathetic and she has no life is she's buying an iPhone in the honor of Steve Jobs who, if was alive to this day, couldn't care less one way or the other if she bought that phone in honor of him. She's nuts, I mean literally. As for the Louis Vuitton bag, who knows if it's real or not but it probably was based on her overly emotional response.

This is why some people view Mac users as some cult. I get it now.

Really?! My wife was too. She was about 30th in line. The Apple employees told her this story before we saw it online.
