    Oopsie, Hillary!

The tables have turned in this week’s White House Watch. After trailing Hillary Clinton by five points for the prior two weeks, Donald Trump has now taken a four-point lead.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds Trump with 43% of the vote, while Clinton earns 39%. Twelve percent (12%) still like another candidate, and five percent (5%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Last week at this time, it was Clinton 44%, Trump 39%. This is Trump’s highest level of support in Rasmussen Reports’ matchups with Clinton since last October. His support has been hovering around the 40% mark since April, but it remains to be seen whether he’s just having a good week or this actually represents a real move forward among voters.

But Fox is still indicating Clinton with a national lead. Unless Rasmussen is a leading indicator. Although years ago I had heard Rassmussen leans conservative, so perhaps they are over sampling? Who knows.

So when Rasmussen had Hillary in the lead, were their numbers good then?

There's a groundswell beginning. Trump and Brexit are riding the wave.

    Rasmussen?? Really?

How's that Romney Presidency that Rasmussen called in 2012 working out for you?

Try a Ouija board next time. You'll get closer to reality.

Polls are foolish. You think people would have learned this with the brexit last week.

I don't take any over another. Just reporting the difference. Fact is I don't know which one is correct. And neither do you. Or anyone else here for that matter.

And yeah, that includes you too Duck.

You do see a bias but it goes both ways depending on who you watch.

Not in opposition to this thread necessarily, but I read that polling data is more-and-more inaccurate, due to their use of land-lines (which are increasingly barely used/had). People on cells don't pick up...What this means is, just like Brexit - it could very easily be President Trump. Or President Clinton. Don't take anything for granted - go vote for whoever floats your boat.

since Adele isn't scheduled to sign until november, there's still plenty of time for lots of things to happen

Get back to me when Trump polls over 45% in a poll. That's the only Clinton/Trump polling number I pay attention to. As long as he consistently polls below that number he's a very long shot at best.

...adding, the other number I pay attention to is Obama's approval numbers. If Obama's approval is in plus territory Trump's in trouble.

if you pay attention to the small print, these polls all come with a pretty significant margin of error that's often greater than the difference between the candidates

I note how the OP spouts off numbers with the lack of a source to back up those numbers.

Most polls use a healthy percentage of cell phones. Landlines skew to older voters but older voters vote in larger numbers, so...
