Honestly I always go back to apple leather because of the slim fit and great grip. But with this Merlot Andar, the grip is a lot better than my camel tan Andar. And the lip is so nice on the Andar, I might keep this Andar on for a long time. I’ll keep you guys updated!
Can you post pics from the front and sides and bottom??

Yes please do keep us posted it looks great!!!

Any one have an update on bullstraps cloud color? Impressions? It still intrigues me. I have the AirPod case and love it but I’ve hesitated using on something that gets handled far more.. my AirPods get put in the purse maybe once every three months

They fit just as good as apple?
I can’t comment on every instance with 100% certainty, but mine fits great. Lower corners stay put without coming off easily, and with the added lip, I have no fear that the screen is protected. I can’t say that about the Apple, as I know those corners slip.

I’ve fortunately never had the corner pop issue. My husband had a looser fit in his original silicone case but Apple swapped it. And then we all transitioned to leather.

In my experience, with the Apple Leather, out of the box the corners can pop off but after a few days when the case has worn in a bit they become a little tacky and it's no longer an issue

Mine was a snug fit out of the box. Both of mine (midnight and ink). But I hear ya- it does seem to mold into the phone after some time. It’s a fantastic fit

I noticed this with my new camel tan andar as well. I think the leather is waxed? I ended up using Lexol leather cleaner, followed by lexol leather conditioner. It made the case slightly tackier. But I'd guess after a while it might get slick again.

The first time I used a leather case was for an iphone XS. It was a saddle brown apple case which was also very slick. I made it a habit to pull it out of my pocket holding it by the face and back of the phone instead of the edges. Now with the removal of 3d touch, I'm always inadvertently activating things.
Are you me? First one was the official apple case for the XS and now with the 14 pro max Andar case. The XS didn’t feel as slick but I agree the removal of 3D Touch makes me a bit nervous when holding the phone by the screen.

I’m going to try a couple things. It may also be because I have dry hands, maybe in the summer, once it becomes humid I should have a better grip. I’ll try some conditioners but I do not want to get rid of the finish or alter the patina in any way. Just want it develop naturally.

Does anyone have the black Andar for the 14 pro/pro max? I am debating between the jet black or brown. Can’t keep buying too many cases like I did on the 13. Wife isn’t happy so I am trying to limit to one for now. Hahah.

I did move to an official Apple silicone case for my 12 Pro after a local store reduced them to £9 for some reason.
It lasted 8 months before 2 of the corners had the silicone peeling off and it looked awful.
Other than that it’s been hiding in a rather battered looking California Poppy leather case, which feels much better in my hand. Even though it’s been with me from the launch of the 12 series leather cases.
I really should grab a pic of just how worn this thing is after over 18 months of daily use

Poppy color ? 18 months ? Probably looks real gnarly

Yeah it’s been on my 12 Pro since they were released, so a few weeks after the phone. It’s been on every day since, other than the few months with the silicone and had a Baltic Blue MagSafe wallet attached.
When new the Poppy/Baltic combo looked amazing, now not so much 🤣
