What times do you think the lines would start forming? Have you been for launches in this store before? I recently moved to KC and would like to know what kind of lines to expect.

I'm planning on driving 2 hours to this store to wait on tonight (Thursday). Do you think getting there at 9pm will be enough? Or is that crazy too early?

So what do you all bring to the line? That may seem like a dumb question, but I'm new to all this waiting stuff.

It is to rain tonight right? Will they allow a small tent? Does that sounds ridiculous?

Nice thought. I've heard people used to tent in the past. Not sure about this particular store.

I have been done every iPad and iPhone launch at Leawood, since it opened. I normally just bring my computer, snacks, chairs, and a blanket (gets a little chilly)

This year with the forecasted heavy thunderstorms, I am bringing a couple chairs, a tent, umbrellas, blankets. Coming a little more prepared this time.

    ----------

Some people say it sounds crazy, I personally am going to be bringing my tent.

I have already called the store, and small tents will be allowed on the sidewalks.

Any word on how many they're getting? I work off College BLVD, and am thinking about running by the store at 8:30 or so and seeing if there's any left. OR... do I just order online tonight?

Just wish they had done preorders.

Thanks for the update. Twenty in line blows my mind for a small refresh. I mean - I want one coming from the 5, so I can't judge ;p - I just wouldn't have guessed we'd have so many lines and such tight supply. Hmm...

Guess I'll set an alarm for the website.

Good luck to those of you in line!

Apple rep just came out to gauge preferences on phones. Have waited in line for launches before and never remember them coming around and asking. Said supplies are limited based on carrier and or color. Luckily he said I should stick around based on what I wanted. Specialist will be out between 6:00 and 8:00 with more details.

I ended up waking up at 2 and got my order in. But curiosity makes me wonder how Leawood ended up looking. How many total people, how many phones?

    Thanks!
