I assume the next gen Macbook Pros will be pretty awesome. Hopefully, they'll also have a SATA 3.0 Gbps interface. :p

Probably going to see a G1xxM series instead in the next revision. Expect the usual 32 shader cores and 128-bit memory interface.

Pray they decide on a Mobility HD 4650 or 4670 instead.

Much better performance over the rebranded mobile G9x cards.

Are you saying the 2XX series is a rebranded 9XXX series?

The 1xx series (and the very first two 2xxM chips) was rebranded 9xxx. 2xx is a completely new core.

+1, they can't rebrand the same core twice. And, they didn't.

Meh, if you are serious about graphical performance you wouldn’t be buying a “mobile” GPU.

Oh no. I feel really sorry for the people who bit the bullet and went for the MBP 13 inchers......including me. :(

    Oh well.

And the gen after the next will have a better gpu. If all you do is wait for something better then youll never get anything.

Thing is, you buy stuff after a architectur change, eg Arrandale for Notebooks, dunno about Nvidia stuff. Not in between.

This is my reason for working. To save money for the next big (or small) update!

I seriously think Apple asked NVIDIA to hold off announcement of the new GPUs after WWDC so Apple can still sell a ton of the new MBPs.

    What do you think?

So I assume they sold a "ton" in the... oh... SEVEN days since the announcement.

    That's terrible logic.

There will always be something new.

Why? Those are NOT low end GPUs.

These new offerings will kill the 9400M .. no offense. But it works both ways, just how the 9400M was 5x faster than the previous integrated GPU.

Looks like nVidia finally got around to doing GT200 derivatives.

I understand technology has to move forward, but these mobile solutions are like brining a knife to a gun fight. There still inadequate for anything remotely challenging.
