Is this review of LG Prada II from www.phonearena.com they show a picture of the LG Prada II, the original LG Prada, the HTC Touch Pro, and the first generation iPhone. They deliberately use the old and thick iPhone rather than the thinner, more elegant iPhone 3g when comparing these "new" phones.

What ad? And who's mocking / making fun of? That just looks like some web site's size comparison chart to me.

And besides ... that "old" and "thick" iPhone is still thinner than all those other ones.

That's your definition of an "ad?"

Am I missing something? Does LG own that website?

And LG and Prada apparently aren't concerned about its thickness, considering it is ... what, more than 30% thicker than the first generation?

It's not an ad -- it's a review. The purpose of the photo is to provide well known comparisons. And did you even read the review? It's not particularly generous. The conclusion section:

This is what you're accusing of being predatory marketing for LG and against Apple?

As a complete aside, I have never understood why Prada tied its name to this thing. Both versions are completely inelegant. Prada would have done far better to take a fairly well evolved device (Blackberry Bold, whatever) and make it look truly stylish. This is a poorly-thought-out advanced device that isn't even particularly pretty. It is, by and large, nearly everything that Prada is not.

That is the power of "business development", my friend. Or, as I'm sure the suits call it, "BizDev".

It's also the power of LG 'pooping' their pants over the iPhone and wanting some extra ammo. Me thinks some cocaine, hookers and several business "lunches" were needed to seal this deal.

The iPhone 3G is actually a bit thicker than the original in the middle. ;)
