List of Members Waiting for Their MacBook Air to Ship (European market only)

Ah Crap!!! Hopefully it will. I only checked just now so its possible it changes to 'prepare to Ship' earlierthis morning so hopefully t will be sent soon:confused:
 
Also, it says 'Merge in Transit' for my shipping...i thik thats cuz i also ordered Office '08 so that will prob be added to the order in GB but I was wondering, will i still get a tracking number because of this? I've heard of ppl in the same situation with merge in GB and they didnt get a tracking number until it arrived in GB
 
^ The ordering and tracking system seems to be slightly messed up right now. Because you cant even properly track it on the apple store and normally you can. Also explains the fact that they still haven't even listed the courier on my status page just the EMEA fast ship.

Normally that would change to UPS/TNT and provide link to online tracking...

You may not receive any more tracking numbers. Your macbook air will go to Nuneaton GB to meet up with office, and then get sent on to dublin from there.

It shouldn't add too much extra time to the process. :)

Just the TNT tracking

http://www.tnt.com/country/en_ie.html

When it ships you should get a number on the overview page of the order status section on apple store.

It will probably start with 27xxxxxxx basically drop the last two digits and enter that into the TNT tracking page above.

That should track it as much as it does for all of us at the moment :)
 
Changes?

Hey has anyones delivery changed? Its been 22 hours and nothing has happened, mine hasnt even had the received transit, I ordered on the 15th right after the keynote

Now not only my MBA is "Prepared for shipment", but my Superdrive too.

But it is still on Fast Ship EMEA and they have separate shipping/delivery dates, even though I ordered them both together and it was on "Merge in Transit NL" up until this morning.

Why did Apple choose to ship them separately? Not that I object, but it's still odd, mostly because this didn't happen for anyone of you.

Wats the cut off point for shipment tomorrow before the Chinese New Year? I really dont wanna wait till the 1th or so forit to be shipped

guys i think i know the reason...someone in the us list of memers waiting....called apple about that and here is the answer:

"Sir, you're not gonna be happy with what I'm about to tell you. Apparently, China is celebrating the Chinese New Year, and everybody is off of work for about a week. It won't ship till later or next week and there is nothing we can do about it...we're sorry...etc..."
 
I just called TNT. Apparently my MBA shipped on the 5th is expected for the 14th. Quote: "Yes, the public holiday will delay it".

Bad luck, but everyone deserves their holidays I guess.
 
So sad if that's true. I got pretty excited today ...! :(

Yes, it is snappy when you open different programs at the same time...(compared with a macbook 2.2ghz)

but it needs also around 25 seconds to boot... (fresh install of leopard)

Well to my knowledge the Chinese new year is february 7th and not february 5th!
