Lobster and blue crab get steamed and eaten here without any remorse or regret. I put three pounds of baby necks on the grill this past weekend. Gobbled them down with a garlic butter cream sauce.
It will take a long time to create willing sentient foodstuffs.
I'm not one to feel guilt over my foodstuffs, but baby necks would probably give me some pause.
Well, I'm a parent so I'm desensitized. Let me rephrase...little necks.

It is. I'm not sure how well their central nervous system is developed, but I guess I don't really like to support the practice by eating at those places. I've never successfully managed to switch to a vegan diet, but it seems ideal. Centralized farming practices virtually guarantee that livestock are treated in a horrible manner.
