Logic Pro 8 Problem! Please Help!

I am having problems loading a logic pro 8 session into an older logic pro 7 environment.
Basically when I connect my external hard drive (the one containing the Logic 8 session files) to my computer which runs an older Logic Pro 7 version I cannot even see the session files!

can anyone help me out? does anyone know if there are any compatibility issues?
