I have separate iCloud and iTunes Media Apple IDs. Under prior versions of iOS, if I logged into my Media account on an untrusted device I would get a push notification with a code to log in with to my devices signed into that account solely for Media and Purchases (not iCloud). I’m no longer getting that in iOS 18 for my media account. I do get one for my iCloud account, but not the media account.
Since there’s no way to generate a code locally for the media account if it’s not the same as the iCloud account, the only way I could log in was to use the phone number on my account.
Basically login codes are no longer sent to devices logged into a separate media account the way it has been since around iOS 10.
Has anyone else experienced this?

This appears to only be an issue when setting up a new device. I did get a push notification code when signing into the Apple ID web site.
