I have been looking for a really good 22-24" monitor for my Mac Mini.

I was looking at the Apple 27" Display and although it is really nice I just can not justify $999 for a 27" Display when I can get almost 3 of another brand.

I was looking at either going with another 22" LCD or maybe a good LED?

Thoughts suggestions, also I need to know where to buy it, or just a model number, as I usually buy from Tiger Direct or NewEgg.

"LED" displays are also LCDs as just the backlight is LED. One good way to check is to look at reviews in NewEgg. Here are monitors sorted by the amount of reviews (i.e. popularity). I doubt you can go wrong with the most popular ones

Dell U2211H. Very good IPS monitor. If you don't like it though, you could check the Samsung PX2370 and the LG E2250V but those last ones are all TN panels.

I use 2 HP 2229h 22" monitors. I really cant fault them. great, accurate colours. They can be rotated into a portrait format which can be very useful in some apps like photoshop. They are cheap too, £160 each. i would happily pay £300 each after using them.

I have the Samsung PX2370. It's LED backlit and an overall great monitor.

I'd try and find a 24" Apple Cinema Display (predecessor to the 27").

I use the Acer H233H. It's rated 5 stars in New Egg. In terms of picture, it's great. It's cheap and effective. May not be enough for gaming and the sound quality sucks if you plan to use it.

I hear Newegg's dead pixel policy isn't so hot.

Also, voting for the U2211H or U2311H, both are pretty good monitors for their price.

Well, NewEgg seems to offer 60-day replacement and return policy (may vary depending on the monitor). Replacement policy doesn't say anything about dead pixels or stuff like that, just that it must not be misused

In case of dead/stuck pixels, you should be able to get a new one for free of charge, that's how I got that.
