Hey all :D

I was just wondering if there was any way I can edit a song so I can just have the Drum and Bass tracks. I don't want guitar or vocals because I wanna cover some songs with my own sound.

I've heard that changing frequency's can make certain instruments mute, but I don't quite fully understand that. If any of you know more about this, would you mind explaining it?

Any reply's are welcome :)

If it helps I was planning on editing Hard Rock artists like Alter Bridge and Creed's heavier album "full circle"

You .. want to edit audio files and remove vocals & guitar?

Do you have the master tapes? If not, then you can't do that.

Not completely true.

Although it's not perfect, you can use audacity to remove at least the lyrics from some songs.

Check this.

Never had any success with that technique. The best I've ever achieved was lowering the lyrics' volume a bit. But I guess it's worth a try.

Yeh I know what you mean, I had variable success on the song I tried. Worth a shot though.
