Only addicts upgrade every year anyway. Expecting massive changes in an S year is unlikely.
Magnets, iPhone 5 design and 5G were last years offerings, oh and 'super excited' Tim saving the planet by removing the power adapter and changing the lead to USB C so you had to buy a new one anyway. And you couldn't take advantage of the magnets unless you bought specific chargers etc. I couldn't personally use 5G because I use dual sim so had to wait 5 months for that.

In Apple's defence it gets harder and harder to implement revolutionary upgrades when there's not much extra they can throw in to wow us. Apple tend to play it safe these days. I'd have loved a foldable (flip) iPhone so the max pro fitted in jeans pockets. I'd love to see an e-ink screen on the rear so I could read in direct sunlight, or have QR codes, diary, displayed there.

Maybe, just maybe, it's time to start releasing new phones every two years and focus on the software! On the software there are still things to wow us :)

I have an iPhone 11 and the only thing that attracts me on iPhone 12 or 13 it's the design (iPhone 5 design). But other than that my phone it's still great. Without a good offer from my carrier for iPhone 13 i will still rock the 11 for at least one more year.

Ha, both of my daughters said the same thing yesterday. Now that really would be a positive statement on climate change, just a negative one on their bank balance, which is their only concern.

I tend to hold onto phones for a longer time. Going from a 7+ to a 12 was a really great upgrade and my phone still feels new almost a year later. The only reason anyone in my house would upgrade to a 13 is if the 7+ totally died (my son now uses it) or there was a trade in deal on the 7+ that was just too good to pass up.

Accept that growth stopped? What are they going to tell Wall Street? Capitalism needs growth, anything else is seen as stagnation- Apple marketing would have to work masterfully in order to pull that one off.

Yes we all enjoy the headphone jack on our 12 Pro Max. Where is that exactly?

I use one of these..... it stays on the phone 24/7...

I will keep the 12 until i see a worthwhile reason to upgrade and the 13 is not worth it. I will be getting a new battery when the time comes. They need to have some pretty good WOW features in order for me to upgrade.

My households SE2020s are 2 years for 2 and 1 year for 1. I like camera improvements and battery improvements but I’m holding out for Touch ID to come back.
