Loose hinge on rMPB, out of warranty

Has anyone had experience getting their screen hinge tightened through apple? Mine isn't bad (just makes noise when I give it a small shake) but I can certainly see it becoming an issue in a few months because it has gotten worse over the past month. I bought my computer in February of 2013 and don't have apple care. One of my buddies said they should just tighten it for free but I somehow doubt that. Anyone know how much they charge and how long it takes them?

Your friend is correct. Apple will most likely tighten the hinge free of charge. All they need to do is pop the back panel off and tighten a few screws.
