Lovely iTunes is helping the BC/Canadian Government double dip on taxes

Ok so I live in British Columbia Canada.

When I buy a iTunes card I pay the Draconian 12% HST rammed down our throats s by Gordon Campbell.

I now notice that iTunes then charges me the same 12% HST when I make a purchase on that credit. 24% taxes!!

bye bye iTunes prepaid cards!!!

Check with the retailer. They may be the ones double dipping. In Ontario, I did not pay HST on the card itself.

Hmmmm, Good point!! I just noticed that this last bill was the first one to be taxed with the HST
