(emphasis mine, to head that off at the pass straightaway)
Yeah, I just saw this a little bit ago. Gonna be difficult for Bush-Cheney-Rove to spin this as a partisan witchhunt. And due to, er, recent events, they can't just fire the people doing the investigating, can they?
Ouch. You know you're in trouble when your own appointees start investigations into your actions.
This is quite surprising. Any bets on how far this goes? I say it's shut down within the week.
Well I'm sure this guy beats his wife, or is an alcoholic, or a disgruntled employee. We'll get the full story from FOX in a few days.
Sorry but I prefer to read it from stephen colbert himself.
I especially liked this bit:
I bet they're wishing they had let these people go for "performance related" reasons as well.
Even better... the guy in charge of this investigation is himself under a cloud of investigation.
I bet he'd like it all to go away... somehow...
what better way to make it all go away than to investigate your own side? Maybe it's just a preemptive strike....wont be surprised if he 'finds" that Rove didn't do anything wrong
Depends on who's doing the investigating and why.
Anyone paying attention knows they have to make Rove squeal in order to get to Cheney. Once those two are out of the way, then they can impeach Bush.
