I guess there wasn’t enough national gun crisis in the news that matters so someone needed to step up and manufacture one.

    It’s all for the children.

There is enough of a problem with guns in schools... manufacturing a fake one just leads to "chicken little" problems.

manufacturing crisis to get political points is absurd and everyone shuld be holding this person accountable for it.

NEVERMIND that if he did actually plant the ammo himself, than he's the one being irresponsible by bringing live rounds into a school. And that itself is bad enough.

I think it's fair to say "what a douchenozzle" about this guy.

He may not have an agenda. He could be one of those people who creates a situation so they can "defuse" it.

"Do not attribute malevolence to that which is merely incompetence."

Could be. But we have no evidence either way. I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt.

I’m glad more reasonable heads prevailed instead of some of the “give him the benefit of the doubt” types here.

As long as due process was followed, than firing his ass for this is valid.

These manufactured fake polarization crimes should be punishable by a minimum of 40 years in prison without the possibility of parole. No plea deal. This is one of the few times I feel the punishment could work as a deterrent if harsh enough.

Unless he has a property interest (in his case - tenured) there is no 'due process' under the law concerning his employment.....

The perpetrators of false crimes like this should face the same charges/sentences as the people who could be wrongly convicted would.
