Hi. Really hoping someone can help.

I have a 5, 1 Mac Pro running Mojave.

I have made a clone of my working system drive using Carbon Copy Cloner. This is to make a backup drive to check some installs for compatibility.
(I erased the target SSD prior to the clone using Disc Utility.)

However, when booted as system drive, the cloned drive will not perform a computer restart fully. The screens turn off, but the power stays on. I have to do a hard power down with the power button.

The original working drive is fine.

What could possibly be going on here?

Many thanks.

Did you contact the CCC developer / CS?

I have now, thanks. Anybody experienced this situation?
I have always used SuperDuper, and clones are always bootable.
It is free to use (paid version lets you incrementally update clones etc).

I assume there is an option in CCC to 'make bootable'...?

Did you happen to try booting from it externally to see if it is recognized that way?
