Wait... you created a thread so it could be deleted?
BTW, what is a 'Mac gaming emulator'?
Hey, I'd like to know about some emulators. I'm at school and don't have my systems with me. I'd like to play some of the games I own (not to mention those that I don't own) on my comp.
here you go:
everything but MAMEs.
ROMs, you are on your own.
It used to be we had emulation.net which was the ideal place to compare options on emulators for mac, but when I tried going there a few weeks back to see if anything new had come out, it wouldn't load. It still seems dead. It's a pitty.
What are ROMs? And where do you get them? Do you make them your slef?
ROMs are basically dumps of game cartridges. emulators available at the link i posted above emulate game console functions, like NES, Genesis, etc. and ROMs are games, basically.
it's illegal to own/use ROMs of games you don't own. so it's not for me to distribute any ROMs i may possess - it's like distributing music mp3s. (and MR discourges/forbids discussion of specific ROM distributions, i think they fall in similar category as discussing serials or warez.)
there are sites out there, often tied with pr0n/anime stuff, that (illegally) host ROMs. try googling around. good luck.
