Does anyone know how to stop Mac Mail from changing my contacts in Address Book? I have a specific way I want my contacts to look and I don't want Mac Mail to keep changing them. How do I get it to stop doing that??! Please help!!!

Mail does not sync with Address Book. It does not make any changes to Address Book that you do not initiate.

If you are asking about something else, you need to be more specific.

It seems to sync automatically to me. For example.

In my address book I'll have "Joe"

Now is Joe emails me and it comes to my mailbox, but he sets his email to display "Joe Smith" once I get the email, I go to my address book, my contact "Joe" has turned into "Joe Smith."

I would like it to stop doing that. Does that make any sense?

A little bit. But sync is the wrong word.

There is probably a setting similar to "Automatically put people I reply to in my Address Book".
