Yesterday I finally updated my work Mac to High Sierra, and also up to 10.13.2. Since then, it's a LOT slower than it was before. Flipping between spaces is the main thing I'm noticing.. the more windows open, the slower it is.
This is a mid-2013 15" MacBook Pro with 16 gig and a 512gb SSD. What's odd is that my personal Mac, a mid-2013 13" MacBook Pro (i5) with 16 gig and 512gb SSD is just as zippy as it was before the upgrade. So why would the supposedly faster Mac feel so much slower? The one other major difference between this Mac and my personal Mac is that this one appears to have both NVidia GT 750 2 gig and an Intel Iris Pro 1.5gb video cards, whereas my personal Mac only has the Intel one.
Oh, I'm running three displays too -- two 21" 1920x1080's (one in the thunderbolt port, the other out of the HDMI port) plus the Mac's own display. Same thing at home except one is a 27" Thunderbolt display, and the other is a 21".
I did some Googling but nothing came up that seemed worthwhile, so thought I'd post here.
