Mac osx 10.4.11 wont search afp share..find by kind

Mac osx 10.4.11 wont search for any file in finder on afp windows share. If share is connected via smb finder works. But I need afp for compatibility with old type files.

Simply need to find files by kind (font files) on afp share.
