Hello, I recently purchased a macintosh portable on eBay and it all functions except I don't have a hard drive. I know that the original Mac portable M5120 (non backlit) used a 34 pin SCSI HD made by Conner. Does any body know where I could purchase a Conner hard drive for such? Thanks. :apple:

These are such a rare thing. Old 50 pin SCSIs are relatively easy to find but these beasts had the 34pin with a cable attached to the drive as you say.

You might have better luck creating a converter from 50 to 34 pin if you can find the pinouts.

:)

thanks for the response. I've have looked at these directions like these and i don't understand how to attach them like this. It is very unclear to me. Do you know how to build one of these? thanks.

I'm afraid I can't help you there. I've not made one of these before. All I can suggest is that you contact a local GURU and see if they can make sense of the information.
