Did you tried to install High Sierra on a empty disk to check if it's not a problem with the upgrade?

thank you for help, i was meaning propre installation from el capitan, erase entire disk and installed

I've never read about missing firewire when installing from scratch, really intriguing. If this happened to me I'd install El Capitan on another disk just to check if works there.

What device failed to show up? I used to have an audio device that did not work after an upgrade to Sierra. Not an issue with the mac side.

Do you have a Firewire disk drive for testing ?

i've checked hardware information, the firewires are there, then i've tried with another firewire disk, it worked, so there is no problèm with my mac pro, it should be the sound card connector's problem, anyway thanks all of you for your help.
