I have a Mac Pro that I just upgraded with Bootcamp 1.1.1. It has Windows XP Pro SP2 (fully updated/patched) and I cannot get a microphone to work with the audio-in port. Bootcamp 1.1.1 didn't cause or solve this problem.

I also cannot get the internal speaker to shutoff unless I am using the headphones jack in the front or I play around with plugging in and unplugging my speakers from the rear audio port.

Are these problems documented or am I just a unlucky bootcamper? Has anybody else found solutions to them? I thought about loading the driver from Realtek, but I am worried it will screw something else up.

Thanks,

Barber

Mac Pro Microphone

I'm having the same problem with the audio input. The problem appears to be that the input is a line-input and not a microphone input. So some sort of pre-amp is needed to plug in a microphone. I'm looking around for a solution, and if I find something that works, I'll post it here.
